Nest Bar, a nice Sky Bar on Sukhumvit Road in Bangkok
The Sukhumvit area of Bangkok is well stocked with high rise hotels, bars, clubs and restaurants.
Sukhumvit road is Bangkok’s longest and is well served by the BTS Skytrain and metro stations.
On our last night in Bangkok we went out for drinks at Nest Rooftop Bar on the 9th floor of the Le Fenix Hotel, Thanon Sukhumvit Soi 11, open till 2am.
The view was good, though only being on the 9th floor you feel more enclosed amongst the buildings rather than soaring above them all.

There was a nice atmosphere with a live DJ playing dance tracks. An extensive cocktail and drinks menu and you can also order food and snacks.

On not so nice nights, they have a roof covering so you can still drink and dine alfresco and enjoy the view without getting wet.
If you want one of the day beds or basket chairs that make Nest Bar unique, you need to reserve them in advance.

On leaving the bar we saw Above 11, a rooftop bar on the 32nd floor of Fraser Suites, on the same road and just a few metres away from Nest Bar, one to check out on our next visit to Bangkok!
