An unplanned highlight of our trip to Myanmar… A boat trip along the Ayeyarwady River in Old Bagan. 

Taking a break from viewing the many temples in Bagan, we decided to check out the river and ended up hiring a boat for an hour from a local who took us off land and onto the water, a very enjoyable experience.

With Jmayels mother speaking Burmese we managed to get a good price for the boat trip, $12USD for all 4 adults, for an hour on the Ayeyarwaddy river.
