Jmayel celebrated his birthday recently and ventured into the last year of his twenties!
So for the occasion we drove to Chiang Dao in North Thailand, an area we had driven through numerous times but not stopped to explore, always gazing at the massive mountains in awe as we drove past.
We booked a room at Marisa Resort in Chiang Dao for the night and had a birthday dinner in the hotels onsite restaurant. Pet friendly of course, and Eden enjoyed the hotels large gardens!
Of course it wouldn’t be a proper birthday without a cake and candle, but the lighter i brought wouldn’t work, so didn’t actually get to light the candle…the thought was there though!
After checkout the next day we continued the adventure onto Thaton, another 2 hours drive north, not far from the Burmese border, where we enjoyed another 3 days of relaxation by the river.
