Coffee shop in Hua Hin that serves amazing Vietnamese Coffees

Yummy/Coffee Corner by Sea Harmony in Hua Hin is a great little place to start your day, refresh after hitting the beach or to escape the heat of a hot Thai afternoon.

With a good menu, serving breakfast and lunches along with a range of hot and cold beverages and ice creams we found ourselves here to refuel after our morning on the beach and to pick ourselves up with a fresh coffee.

The main draw for us settling down in here for lunch was the fact that they serve Vietnamese coffee, something myself and Jmayel had wanted to try for ages and not yet had the chance to in Chiang Mai.

A Vietnamese coffee is one where freshly ground beans are slowly dripped through a filter on top of a glass which is already laden with creamy condensed milk. The slower the liquid drips through, the stronger the coffee will taste and you can choose the sweetness by adding more of less of the rich condensed milk.

The joy of this drink is watching the coffee dripping onto the milk and having to wait while the coffee ‘does its thing’ before you get to enjoy the glass of sweet, creamy coffee.

So along with our friends, we ordered a fulfilling lunch of bbq pork satay salad for the girls and pineapple fried rice for the boys, before we finished off our lunch with four cups of the Vietnamese coffee.

Chris and Angela who had sampled the delights of this coffee before showed us the way to drink it before we had fun stacking our empty glasses for an impromptu photo shoot of the rustic mugs!

Next time we find ourselves back in Hua Hin, we will most certainly be stopping by Yummy/Coffee Corner for lunch and a Vietnamese coffee or two!
