The glittering golden Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon is visible from almost anywhere in the city and is Burma’s most sacred of all Buddhist sites.  
A popular attraction so its advisable to get up early and beat the crowds. 
The Shewdagon Pagoda is open from 5am-10pm, a government stated US$5 entry fee is enforced.
