May 16th 2020 – Living by the ocean in the Philippines has been a great confidence booster for our 3 year old daughter. Surfing is going to become part of her early life here on the island of Siargao and we love the idea of Story growing up around these types of recreational activities that we have a lot less of in cold rainy England.
Being locked down in the Philippines taught her this, how to dunk her head underwater, how to wade chest deep into the sea alone and how to balance her body on small waves and currents. What a brilliant opportunity this has been for us all to learn new things. It suits her, and it suits us.
For now we are going to upload a daily video diary of the Siargao Island Lockdown scenario. This is day 60. Our regular family travel vlogs will resume publishing later.
