One thing we’ve learned as a British family living abroad, is you don’t need too much to be happy. Simply living in the Philippines and getting to spend so much time together is a treasure that we will never forget.
All you need is your health and a sound mind that is willing to learn and you can find contentment in so many places.
Today we took Story to a secret location up in the hills of Siargao Island to do a bit of bike riding. Story is pretty good at riding a balance bike without pedals but she hasn’t had as much practice with a regular bike. We borrowed the bicycle of the little boy whose house we are currently staying in and also Story’s little skateboard and went to have some fun.
Then we went to pick up some Pizza which doesn’t quite go to plan!
This is the start of our story. Our ‘New Normal’ and new future. We are moving to the Philippines for a new start and this is day 16 of our Philippines Daily Vlog which will document what life is like for a British Family trying to work out life in this very exotic and beautiful country.
Our names are Jmayel, Sacha & Story. We traveled to Siargao island with Jmayel’s mum & Story’s grandma just before the Global pandemic that sent the whole planet into quarantine. We got stranded for over 3 months and fell in love with island life, now we want to make that life more permanent.
