As a small British family living in the Philippines, we had no idea how quickly we would gain a big Filipino audience. It has been quite amazing and we are very excited about sharing our story with so many caring people. But we are going to be making changes to make sure we don’t overstep any boundaries with our videos too.
Today we briefly discuss how we are going to try to approach the issue of other peoples families appearing in our videos. Of course not every parent wants their children to appear in front of such a large audience so we have to try to adjust the way we film to make sure the videos can remain natural and organic, but still respect other peoples boundaries.
Story got invited to her new friends birthday party and we spend all day making preparations for that event. Story is super excited to be making her own network here on Siargao island and that makes us so happy.
This is the start of our story. Our ‘New Normal’ and new future. We are moving to the Philippines for a new start and this is day 27 of our Philippines Daily Vlog which will document what life is like for a British Family trying to work out life in this very exotic and beautiful country.
Our names are Jmayel, Sacha & Story. We traveled to Siargao island with Jmayel’s mum & Story’s grandma just before the Global pandemic that sent the whole planet into quarantine. We got stranded for over 3 months and fell in love with island life, now we want to make that life more permanent.
