After our trip to Bangkok, we spent a day in Ayutthaya in the Central Plains region.
Ayutthaya
A town full of ancient ruins and a colourful history, Ayutthaya was a great place to stop off on our journey home. It also makes for a lovely day out from Bangkok if you want to escape the clutches of the capital for a day or two, just 80km from Bangkok, it’s easily reachable by car.
Eden outside the Historical Park
After a couple of hours taking in the sights of this fallen city, we stopped for lunch at Coffee Old City, a cafe/restaurant conveniently located opposite Wat Mahathat, it has lots of tables outside for you and your pooch.

Eden settled down in the shade to enjoy her treats while we ordered lunch. The food was good and the staff friendly.

If you decide to visit Ayutthaya with your furry friend, there is a pet friendly hotel called Neverland Place Resort, it’s basic and cheap but has good outside space and is near to the historical park.
Enjoy your trip to Ayutthaya!
