During our 3 nights in Bangkok we stayed at the Wanghin 46 Apartments in the Lat Phrao area.
It was a half an hour taxi drive into the centre of the city (Grand Palace)
The nearest metro station, Lat Phrao, was 10 minutes away, so there were easy transport links nearby.
The apartment building
When we arrived we were greeted by the friendly staff, though only a few spoke English.
We paid 568 baht per night for our stay in August, on top of that we had to pay a deposit of 400 baht which we got back at the end of our stay, no extra charge was made for our dog Eden.
We had a nice room on the 2nd floor which had good A/C, a hot shower, fridge, kitchen sink, sofa and large bed as well as a television, wardrobe and shelf space.
Our apartment
There was also a nice addition of a small balcony. Free wireless internet access was available throughout the apartments.
Despite being pet friendly the apartment building had no outside space or garden area, so walking Eden was a bit of a problem, however, the building is located down a side road and so we didn’t encounter many street dogs.
We were asked by the manager to always carry our dog through the reception area and up the stairs to our apartment, with her being 12 kilos it was a good thing that the reception wasn’t very big!
We would stay at the Wanghin 46 Apartments again, the accommodation was large, clean and comfortable, the only issue would be the distance from the main attractions and tourist areas.
