Only a few hours drive from the city, Kanchanaburi is the ideal day trip from Bangkok.When we got an email from our subscribers Koen & Heidi asking us if we’d ever been to Kanchanaburi, it brought back some memories from a decade past. They suggested that we go and stay at their favourite resort on the river, The Oriental Kwai, and as a birthday treat for J they even paid for the room for two nights! So Eden put on her ‘RTB’ and we headed west for a little break, it was just what we were looking for.
Huge thank you to Evelien & Djo from The Oriental Kwai for looking after us so well. It was one of the most relaxing trips we have had in a long time.
