At the start of every year it’s impossible to see how life is going to unfold for you. We began 2019 almost homeless with no clue where we were going to live. We kept all options open, would we stay living in Portugal or would we move to the Yorkshire Dales in England? Would our life in Central Portugal continue or would we move to the coast?
Nothing was clear and looking back there was no way we could have predicted all the amazing things that would happen throughout the year. We ended up discovering more beauty than we could have imagined when we visited Madeira Island for the first time. A side of Portugal that left us awestruck by it’s beauty.
We found the most amazing house on the silver coast and a new place to call home. But best of all we got to see our 2 year old grow into a 3 year old, our daughter Story really brought us a whole year of delight as her personality began to develop and we gained an amazing little friend to travel the world with.
Eden the dog showed us that despite her age she still has some puppy spirit within her, sprinting around the large land that we now live on. And our family grew deeper bonds together as we all took the opportunity to travel together as much as we could.
2019 was a good year, but 2020 is going to be even better! What will you do this year?
