Nan Noble House Garden Resort – A pet friendly Guest house in Nan

Arriving in Nan after a long drive from Chiang Rai, we were looking forward to getting to our hotel.
We had searched online for a pet friendly hotel in the town and didn’t have much luck finding anything, which is partly the reason why we hadn’t ventured to the area sooner due to not wanting to turn up with Eden after a 5 hour drive to then find we had nowhere to stay.
En-route to Nan
It wasn’t until a friend who visits Nan frequently told us about Nan Noble House. They are not advertised on Agoda as being pet friendly, however if you let them know in advance that you are arriving with your dog/pet, they allow it (with a small dog anyway). They just charged us an extra 200 baht on top of our room price for extra linen cleaning costs after inspecting the room when we checked out (Eden put a few muddy prints on the sheet :-S).

Nan Noble House is a well-kept and maintained garden resort, the owner lives in Chiang Mai, but he was onsite while we were there over seeing the building of some new rooms and was keen to chat and tell us about the area.
The resort consists of 10 circular thatched cottages spread out over the large 7 acre garden, there is a lovely good sized swimming pool complete with mini waterfall, sun umbrellas, chairs and tables are available by the pools edge.

Breakfast was included with our room which we hadn’t expected and was a nice extra. We woke up each morning to fresh fruits, toast and fried eggs along with individual boxes of cereal and croissants. A fantastic pot of freshly brewed Nan coffee was also waiting for us.

Inside our cottage we had everything we needed, a large comfortable bed, private bathroom with hot shower, soap and towels provided. There was a mini fridge and a television and we also had both air conditioning and a fan as well as free internet in the rooms.
Our Room
The gardens in the resort were pretty and full of mango trees, which made for a peaceful and quiet stay. We liked it a lot there, and the resort actually made our trip to Nan town worthwhile!
Beautiful Gardens
You need your own transport to stay at Nan Noble House as it is located 3 km out of the main hub of Nan. It is on the right as you arrive in Nan from Chiang Rai, off a turning almost opposite Nan Airport, there is no sign for the resort from the main road coming into town, only once you have turned off the road do you see the sign for the resort.
Apart from breakfast, there is no restaurant onsite here, and so you will need to venture into town for lunch and dinner.
There is a large gravel car park at the resort and they also offer a laundry service, which came in handy for us during our long road trip, although it did work out a bit more expensive that what we would usually pay for laundry as it was done on a ‘per item’ system.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Nan Noble House Garden Resort and will definitely not hesitate to stay here again should we be in the area. The staff are friendly, the breakfast and coffee was great, the swimming pool is lovely and best of all, it is pet friendly for Eden!
