Get Link Hip Hotel, Cheap, Pet Friendly & spacious accommodation in Hua Hin

Arriving in Hua Hin at a rather late hour with our friends and a dog in the car, we pulled up at Get Link Hip Hotel, where we had already booked two rooms through Agoda in advance.

Despite the hour, the reception was open and staffed and the check in was an easy process, being given our keys and shown to our rooms within 10 minutes.

Get Link Hip Hotel is situated around 6km outside the main hub of Hua Hin in Hin Lek Fai (Google Map Below), so I do recommend having your own transport if you are considering staying here.

It is a pet friendly hotel, which as always is the major draw for us when booking accommodation as on this occasion, we were travelling with Eden.

The rooms we found were very large and spacious, if not too large. They felt a little empty and could have done with a bit of ‘cheering up’ there was a lot of floor space with not really anything inside apart from a bed. One big downfall for me was the fact that the bedroom had no windows. So it felt rather gloomy with no natural light coming into the room.

Despite being a brand new hotel and each room having its own funky name such as ‘‘mojito, sun burst and tequila rose’ lit internally and externally with neon lights, I felt the inside of the room lacked character.
Still, we made ourselves comfortable in our quirkily named room ‘mango tango’ which was illuminated with neon yellow/green lights, complete with under bed lighting.

The hotel is a complex of 35 rooms, set out a bit like a mini housing community. With all rooms having their own covered driveways for parking right outside your door. An indication that you need your own transport!

The bathroom was very spacious with a huge shower, though again it lacked in this department, the water pressure was low and the temperature was tepid to warm at best. In fact our friends didn’t have any hot water for the entire stay.

Despite a couple of flaws, we found Get Link Hip Hotel to be good value for money. It offers spacious, clean accommodation with a large comfortable bed, fridge, wardrobe, safe and flat screen television in the room, plus a spacious bathroom, private parking and free wi-fi access.

There are no luxuries on site such as fitness center, swimming pool or restaurant, so you will need to travel into town a lot, it is not an ideal place to stay if you don’t have your own transport or want to be close to the city center or beaches.

Pets are allowed but there is no grassy area for walking the dogs around the hotel. We had to walk Eden down to the end of the street going past lots of local dogs. It didn’t prove too much of a problem though, just lots of barking and thankfully no bites!
