Eden in Thaton, Mae Ai District, North Thailand
Sappaya Guesthouse & Pattra Cafe

We recently stayed in a town called Thaton near the Burmese border, on the Kok river.  We stayed at the pet friendly Sappaya Guesthouse which is owned by a lovely lady named Nang.
We liked it here a lot, a very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere and Eden was allowed to walk around freely as if it was her own house!

The guesthouse is right on the river and the upstairs terrace area was a lovely place to sit and watch the river flow by.  Eden enjoyed lots of cuddles as we chilled out.

Nang has a friend called Pim who owns Pattra Cafe, a short walk from the guesthouse over the bridge, we went here almost every day while we were in Thaton for either lunch or dinner.   The food was good, eden was allowed in and Pim was lovely.

We really njoyed our time in Thaton, although not the liveliest of places, the surrounding area is great for photography and is the perfect place if you just want to do nothing and relax!

We will definitely stay at Sappaya guesthouse again when we are next in the area.
